What are Sleep Disorders?

Insomnia, the most common sleep disorder, is seen in those people who are going through trouble in their lives. It also occurs along with the medical conditions and other mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, or cognitive disorders. There are several different types of Sleep Disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Parasomnias, Narcolepsy, and Restless Leg Syndrome.

Sleep difficulties are linked to both physical and emotional problems. 6-10% of adults face Sleep Disorders only because of anxiety, pressure of study, pressure of relationships, pressure of family issues etc.

  • Genetic factors (Mutation).
  • Side effects of a medication.
  • Working the night shift etc.
